A week ago I was chatting to a lady over the phone about TT bikes. She mentioned how she had spoken to various people in different shops about her requirements for her up and coming triathlons. A couple of shops were eager to just sell her a bike and take her money. Another bike shop offered to sell her a bike and said she could possibly get fitted to it elsewhere.
Then she phoned us.
We chatted over the phone about various things, from racing to training and the correct type of bike for her. After our chat and thinking things through I emailed her an option from Liv.
I asked her to consider it and if she was interested in it I said it would be good to meet up so that I could adjust our Caygill frame jig to the geometry of the Liv bike. This way she could physically see and feel how she would feel on the Liv bike she was thinking of purchasing. This is what we did next...We met, chatted over a coffee and then I took her measurements and adjusted my Caygill frame jig accordingly. This gave me the correct frame size for her, then she could pedal with a life like feel of what the Liv bike will feel like.
We're meeting again on the 11th of November and on that day I'll use her measurements and professionally bike fit her into the TT position.
